Mahindra Thar Wanderlust Customised

Auto Expo 2018: Mahindra Thar Wanderlust Custom Is Absolutely Bonkers

Mahindra stepped up the bonkers quotient at their stand at the Auto Expo 2018. The brain-child of Mahindra’s in-house custom house, the Wanderlust sports a vibrant blue hue that grabs eyeballs.

The front gets a silver shroud which houses all-new projector headlamps with corona ring DRLs. The standard bumper has been replaced by an off-road spec unit which also houses external tow hooks and a powered winch.

The hood gets a massive air scoop with an equally spunky snorkel along with guide lights at the top of the windscreen that enhance the sporty appeal of the jeep. It is at the side where the changes are the most apparent since the custom model doesn’t seem to share any body panel with the standard car.

The model also sports contrasting roof rails at the top. The rims have been uprated and have been fit with wide, high-profile off-road rubber that gives it a knobbly stance.

The rear also gets unique crevices which can fit in two jerry cans allowing you to go that bit further off the trail. An off-roading bumper at the back, redesigned tail lamps and a repositioned exhaust pipe round off the changes at the back.

The interiors get a beige-brown dual tone finish with leather cladding for the steering wheel and along the door panels. The standard seats have been ditched in favour of sporty Sparco thrones with proper 5-Point racing harnesses for added safety.
