While the G 310 GS shared the BMW Motorrad’s pavilion with the newly introduced F 750 GS and the F 850 GS, the entry level GS motorcycle is yet to find a launch date in India. While BMW Motorrad official confirmed that the motorcycle will arrive in India in the second half of 2018, they remained tight-lipped about the exact launch details. Meanwhile, you can check out the motorcycle in detail through the walkaround video below:
The G 310 GS is built around the same tubular steel frame as the R-model. Just like the G 310 R, the G 310 GS draws design cues from its bigger siblings, in this case the GS series. The baby GS also gets ABS, a multi-function instrument cluster, USD front forks and an aluminium swing-arm. The motorcycle uses a 313 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that tuned to deliver power and torque outputs of 34 hp at 9,500 rpm and 28Nm at 7500 rpm respectively.
