2016 Audi RS3 Sportback.
We all know about the recent Audi TT Coupé commercial, most of us have watched it on the tele. It was quite literally, out of this world. The German carmaker portrayed a red TT Coupé falling to earth from outer space and eventually landing on a massive bridge kind of thing. Shooting down that piece of tarmac, the background score and flashy computer animation don’t seem vastly overdone, it comes out looking quite well. However, we think Audi got a bit carried away with that advertisement and thought of ‘pushing out’ the boat on this new commercial, a little bit too far.
Audi shows this RS3 being born. We aren’t even kidding.
If you were to go by the storyline of this short film, Audi will have you believe that the 2016 RS3 Sportback has a lot of R8 genes in it. The 2016 Audi RS3 Sportback hums to the beat of a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder TFSI engine that makes 367 ponies and 465 Nm of shove. But to drive that point home, the ad literally sets out to prove that. In a completely appropriately lit tunnel, robotic arms can be seen moving all about the R8 supercar, as they make an incision into the side of the R8. It seems like these robotic arms are actually assisting with the whole car delivery procedure. After much of a faff and lots of moving back and forth, the R8’s rear-end….. Watch the video to witness car delivery in every sense of the word, with an added tinge of German humour, of course. Don’t watch this if car pregnancy isn’t your cup of chai.
