Added in: News

Moto Guzzi has revealed the first official images and details of its 2013 California 1400. The bike will make its debut at the EICMA show next week. The new California is a classily styled transverse V-twin, where the cylinders of the engine flank the tank. Smeared in dollops of chrome and using classic cruiser styling, the California is an elegant traditional cruiser personified.

Powering the bike is a V-twin displacing 1380cc with peak power rated at 96bhp at 6500 rpm and peak torque rated at 120 Nm at a super low 2750 rpm.

The bike is available in two variants – the California 1400 Touring, and another Custom variant. While the Touring variant comes outfitted with the windscreen and the luggage carrying panniers, the Custom, as the name suggests is nude by default, with you deciding what should suit her better.

And the bike isn’t just about looks. It’s packed tight with some serious technology too. The shaft driven machine has a complete ride-by-wire system with three power delivery models to choose from. The engine, the chassis, as well as the elastic engine mounts have been overhauled to give this classy cruiser smoothness which is unparalleled in its class.
