The Toyota Camry has an undeniable corporate identity and that is a good thing for those who wish to be seen in a ride that matches their crisp appearance. Like it happens in the corporate world then, the sedan went through an annual review, some workshops and reported back to work, looking slightly different at the 2014 Moscow Motor Show. To be launched in India on April 30, 2015, the Camry will be mechanically identical to the outgoing car and changes are more or less cosmetic. The face lifted Camry gets a wider front grille with a chrome slat retaining its position on the bonnet. Headlamps have been re-styled and now feature DRL’s, while the redesigned bumper now has a chrome lined handlebar moustache around the large air dam, also engulfing the fog lamps.

At the rear, the car has lost some excessive chrome it carried and now gets a thinner, single strip of shine that runs across the boot-lid. Tail-lamps get LED inserts, while reflectors now occupy space further below in the re-designed bumper. Inside the cabin, the 2015 Toyota Camry gets a new multi-function steering wheel that loses one spoke in comparison to the wheel on the outgoing car. The instrument cluster lights up in blue and also gets a bigger screen in the middle, while the infotainment unit in the centre console also gets a bigger display. The 2015 Camry will continue to be powered by the existing petrol and hybrid setup, and according to the report, will be priced higher than the outgoing car by a lakh or so.
