An earlier report suggested that the new, completely overhauled Apache, along with two more TVS models, will make its debut by January 2016. During the company’s Annual General Meeting held in August this year, Venu Srinivasan, chairman, TVS Motors hinted the arrival of the new three new products, including the updated Apache, in six months ending in January 2016. However, the latest buzz from the rumour mill suggests that TVS may introduce its upcoming models in November, two months before the launch date announced earlier.

The announcement made at the 23rd Annual General Meeting stated that TVS Motor will introduce a new four-stroke moped, new TVS Victor and the 200cc variant of the Apache by January 2016. This announcement cleared the air over the cubic capacity of the upcoming Apache which was earlier expected to be a 250cc power-plant, first showcased on the Draken concept at the 2014 Auto Expo in Delhi.

As reported earlier, a mysterious TVS motorcycle was spotted doing test runs which, after close inspection, turned out to be the updated Apache. Going by the images, the test mule looked far way from being production ready. Hardly any spy images of the upcoming bike have emerged ever since.

While there is no word about the technical specifications except the displacement on the upcoming Apache, we expect the newly developed to deliver approximately 20 bhp of power and about 17Nm of torque. ABS is also likely to make way on the new Apache as an optional addition. Expect the prices to hover just below Rs 100,000 for the ABS equipped version.

After eluding us for years, is the new, larger capacity Apache finally ready for a launch?  We hope it is. Are you excited about the new Apache? Share your views with us through the comments section below.

  1. well well well..finally once again an interesting rumor. but with prices of the current 180 (abs version) already hovering at around 95,000 OTR i doubt whether this 200's price would remain within 1,00,000/- bracket. They must aim straight for the performance segment of the domestic market like duke 390/cbr250r/tnt300 if this new apache should be positioned as a formidable option. Or price it extremely competitively
