Hmm... there appear to be a couple of fast chicanes there... and a lot of second gear corners, probably Herman Tilke's idea of promoting overtaking... But then, its not everyday that a Spa Francochamps springs out, is it??

Well as we all know, Motoroids had reported that the ticket sales have started for the Indian GP (link).

Few points as a quick recap,
  • Airtel is the title sponsor. Others include names like Mercedes-Benz, etc.
  • Track has not been homologated yet (Originally scheduled for 1st week of August, postponed to 1st Sep).
  • Don't fret. Last year, Korea track was homologated 4 days before the Grand Prix.
  • F1 management seems to be happy with the progress of the circuit construction.
  • All in all, Indian GP is a go!

Most importantly, Charles Whiting says that we are in a better state than Korea was last year :P (link)

Tickets are expected to be sold out by 7-10 days. Anyone from here planning to go?

It isnt exaclty 'throwing around'
Its money well spend if you ask me.
Indias first. A grand 3 day event! It is a big deal for an auto-sport-ignorant country like ours!

PS: Your ID should rather be the Keyboard Commando! :P

Is the ticket valid for all 3 days, or is it a one day entry only..

P.S.- I suggest "Key-a-Blow" (as in Diablo) ;)

well as far as i have heard is that the track is completed and the grand stand is on schedule....
Indian gp is a go for sure.. i do not earn right now or i would have been there.. although i would also apply for a superpass on the f1 site to watch live streaming videos on phone as well because if i am there i will only be able to see a couple hundred meters which means i would miss almost 5kms of it and it would also mean i would miss most of the action as well..
if any motor head is going then i would recommend the same thin to thin as well..

M&M is now associated with the Buddh International circuit as the official intervention and support vehicle (fire fighting, recovery, etc.) partner. They will supply about 10 Scorpios and 15 Getaways to the circuit over next 5 years.

Tony Fernandes would like Chandok to drive for them (Lotus) but leaves the final decision to the team. (Source)

Couple of friends visited the circuit last weekend for the Marshal's training, and they reported the track as completed. The stands and other buildings are still getting finished, though.
