Booking a KTM? Why! Its such a bad touring machine ;) - Small tank - Too much gadgetry + Made in India. If something dies, find a PBK in your 'destination' - Incredibly expensive power parts - One crash and say good bye to USD forks and sell a kidney to have it replaced - And like you said, no fairing Want more? Abey Our Touring Includes only 200 kilometers of Plains, rest is all hills, and Come you may, lets see, who rides ahead on hills :P

^^^ ROFL :D @LP How about you murder him after getting the Duke? The chase between the Duke and CBR250 will be entertaining, to say the least :)

Bhaaaagoooo :D Bhaagte bhaagte wanna say congrats man on the decision! LOL, I will choose a wide straight stretch to ensure I make him sweat really hard to do the catching- and I will get some rest too when he stops for refuelling much before ;)
Would you want to run after you get a highway, If you are in City, I can bet my ass, you can't out run a me on a DUKE :D

Absolutely!!!!

CBR -ves,
  • Fairing
  • Mileage Again
  • Over Broad tyres,
  • Rake & Trail angle mismatch. Which I am deadsure, 95% of the people have noticed.
  • Low on Quality
  • You can not really push it to its max limits it Behaves Absurdly.
  • God forbid if one phodu-fy the CBR, he may also need to sell his kidney for the entire thing.
  • NOT-et-ALL a rally type bike not even 10%!!!   (Majorly My Reason to buy KTM, because it can be rally prepared by just putting tyres, Nothing Else et-all)

Fairing
>> Won't it help when you hit the highways!

Mileage Again
>> It gives me 38-40 kpl in city commuting. And recent trip it still gave me 38+ despite riding it constantly at 100-120 kph with pillion and luggage.

Over Broad tyres,
>> CBR- 140 section, KTM- 150 section. Overbroad???

Rake & Trail angle mismatch. Which I am deadsure, 95% of the people have noticed.
>> Thats one super observation. Am from the remaining 5% :P I wasn't able to notice it from the pic, forget the real bike ;)

Low on Quality
>> Agree. Hope the new ones come with improvisation.

You can not really push it to its max limits it Behaves Absurdly.

>> Right...heavy plus softer suspension.

God forbid if one phodu-fy the CBR, he may also need to sell his kidney for the entire thing.
>> Though I haven't asked the spare prices at the service centres- but I remember Parimal telling me that at least the plastic bits are not at all on the expensive side.

NOT-et-ALL a rally type bike not even 10%!!! (Majorly My Reason to buy KTM, because it can be rally prepared by just putting tyres, Nothing Else et-all)
>> That makes we wonder what made you post about the confusion when you were thinking about rallying :D

The ORANGE is definitely for you! So when you getting one?

Too Broad for the CBR, KTM has 150, because its needs it.

Rake & Trail angle mismatch. Which I am deadsure, 95% of the people have noticed.

It can't be judged by the picture, if you run the bike for long, and push hard to its limits, then you will surely feel it. test rode it today again for good 15kms in the the Delhit City Traffic, its a pain. Seriously.

lol! Best of luck for your rally with that puny fuel tank, I hope the friendly PBK has adequate stocks and spares and tools to detect errors in your trail.

Some of your comments about the tyres, the rake angle to an extent and quality is pure BS. The duke has quality mechnical parts, the "quality" cosmetic parts will come as optional "power parts" package which would suck your blood out in costs
