VIDEO: A heart-wrenching tale of an impounded Rolls-Royce Ghost

Rolls Royce Ghost

Rolls Royce has always been considered as an epitome of luxury featuring the classiest, luxurious and elegant car brands one could have. The long list of customization options, available for all the Rolls Royce models that are manufactured at their only production facility in Goodwood, England, start with a wide variety of 44,000 colours to having buyer’s personal initials etched at various places in the car.

But what worth would a Rolls Royce have if you find it dumped outside a police station gathering dust and dry leaves all over it? We found one such rundown example in the state of Karnataka. This Rolls Royce, a Ghost, was seized by the local transport department.

The heart-wrenching video, that was sent to us by the Facebook page Manish.Asrani (Car n Bike Clicks) from Bengaluru shows the helpless Rolls Royce rotting in what seems to be a police impound yard. The car has been reportedly impounded for non-payment of taxes after it was transferred to Karnataka from its original registration at Mumbai in the year 2010.

The question that pops up in one’s mind is why would someone, who can afford the luxury of a Rolls Royce, not pay up the road tax which would be loose change for him? Maybe there is more to this story than what appears although we do not have the details at the moment.
