Already controlling more than 33% of the 3-wheeler market in India, Piaggio today launched the Ape Xtra Dlx at a price of Rs 1,75,000 in India. While the Ape has been available in the market for quite some time, this new Xtra Dlx model carries some style and reliability enhancements. Powered by a naturally aspirated, air-cooled, single cylinder, 436 cc diesel engine that pumps out 7.4 hp at 3600 rpm and 18 Nm of torque between 2200-2400 rpm, it promises to return an efficiency figure of 36 kpl.
