Honda India seems to be on a variant launch spree. After launching top variants for the Brio Hatchback and the compact sedan Amaze, a new variant has been added to the latter. The Honda Amaze 1.2 S MT Plus (i-VTEC) is a petrol powered sedan that has been tweaked by the manufacturer to be compatible for CNG fuel. Although the Amaze has been in the market for a couple years now, with over 1.30 lakh happy customers, the new variant with bi-fuel option of Petrol/ CNG is being offered in the market to meet the needs of those looking for an alternate fuel vehicle that is eco-friendly, performs as good as a petrol powered car, yet, is low on running costs.

This new CNG powered variant should appeal to those who are skeptical about installing a CNG kit at unapproved outlets, as a Honda approved CNG kit will be fitted to the new variant at dealerships located in cities where CNG fuel is available in the country. This CNG ready variant of the Honda Amaze has been specially tuned during production for CNG compatibility by way of optimizing the suspension, application of CNG specific engine components & specially prepared wiring harnesses to ensure high level of quality. The new variant will come with a 2-year warranty as standard value for all buyers.
Commenting on the introduction of the new variant, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India said, “At HCIL, we constantly work towards enhancing customer experience through our products and services.
