- The New 2014 Mahindra Scorpio will be available with two engine options
- The base m2DICR, 4 cylinder, 2.5 litre, turbo charged CRDI engine will make 75 bhp at 3200 rpm and 200 Nm of torque between 1400 – 2200 rpm. It will only be available in an S2 variant
- The mHawk engine will be available in four variants – S4, S6, S6+ S8 and S10. The mHawk engine continues to be a 2179 cc, 4-cylinder unit. It is boosted by a variable geometry turbocharger with intercooler and features CRDI technology. It is rated for 120 bhp at 4000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1800 – 2800 rpm
- New Scorpio promises a higher fuel efficiency figure of more than 15 kpl
- Both engines will be mated to a new 5MT320, 5-speed gearbox, which promises smooth and effortless shifting
- Tyres on the S2 variant will be 215/75 R15 tubeless rubber, while the others will roll on 235/65 R17 tubeless radials
- New Cushion Suspension technology promises higher flexibility and greater shock absorption
- Front Suspension: Double wish-bone type, independent front coil spring
- Rear Suspension: Multi link coil spring suspension with Anti-roll bar
