Hero MotoCorp launches Ignitor in Delhi @ INR 55,900

Regulars here might remember us reporting about Hero MotoCorp coming up with the Ignitor executive commuter bike. The Ignitor, which is essentially a rebadged Honda Stunner, was silently launched today at a price of INR 55,900 ex-showroom Delhi. The Ignitor comes in two variants- the base with a drum brake and the top end with a front disc brake set up. Other than this, both the bike feature alloy wheels and an elec. Start system. Hero has fiddled a bit with the Stunner’s motor to extract more torque at lower RPM.  While the peak power remains unchanged at 11 PS, the peak torque output of 11 Nm comes 1500 RPM lower than Stunner’s motor at 5,000 RPM. This also means that the bike is more rideable than the Stunner and have a slightly better fuel economy. The Ignitor comes with four color options- Pearl White, Sports Red, Vibrant Blue and Panther Black Metallic.
