Yet another sighting of the speculated Bajaj Pulsar 180 NS

Today, Pulsars are easily among the most popular performance oriented Indian bikes on sale in the country. Not just have the Pulsar bikes revolutionized the Indian performance bike segment but they have also been responsible for enabling BAL, which was once known for its scooters, with consolidating its position as a motorcycle maker.

The first-ever Bajaj Pulsar was introduced more than a decade ago and hence, it is only logical for the bike maker to come up with the next gen Pulsars.

While Bajaj did introduce the all new 200NS last year, it is yet to launch the next generation of 150cc and 180cc variants. Currently. both these bikes aren’t half as sporty as their Japanese rivals and leave a lot to be desired in terms of engine refinement, handling and styling.

If rumours are to be believed, Bajaj does realize all this and has been busy with the development of an all new 180cc variant of the Pulsar. There are good chances that the upcoming bike would be based on the Pulsar 200NS. It may be noted that Rajiv Bajaj has already confirmed that Bajaj would launch an all new sub 200cc Pulsar this year and we won’t really be too surprised to see the speculated new Pulsar 180 borrowing plenty of stuff from the 200NS.

In the latest development, a new set of spy pics of a Bajaj Pulsar test mule has surfaced on web world. Visually, this test mule is very identical to the Pulsar 200NS but we really wonder why would Bajaj test the 200NS on public roads. And now that we can’t think of any reason for Bajaj to test the 200NS, there are good chances that the bike which was being tested was indeed the upcoming Bajaj Pulsar 180NS. The fact that there is always a high amount of parts sharing between different variants of Pulsar further highlights the possibility of the spotted bike being the new 180NS.

Stay tuned to Motoroids for more info on the upcoming generation of sub-200cc Bajaj Pulsar.

  1. A 180 at the price of a 150 and slightly lower FE is any day better than a 150.
Looking at Bajaj’s track record, this is entirely possible.

  2. I dont know why does BAJAJ want to have an 180 in its range!!

They should only have a mordern 150 with the same tech that goes on in 200NS..
