  • Colours – Racing Blue, Midnight Black and Sunset Red.
  • 90 mm front tyre, 130mm rear tyre
  • 220mm rear disc
  • New 5 spoke alloy wheel (looks like a 10 spoke)
  • Wider tyres both at the front and rear.
  • First Aluminium Swingarm in India on the R15
  • 130 / 70 – R17 rear tyre
  • Sharper tail
  • LED taillamp
  • Split seat
  • No changes made to the instrument cluster
  • New exhaust muffler
  • 5 kg heavier than the earlier version

Update 3: Nation business Head Yamaha Motor India – Roy Kurren on stage: “Company got a feedback that the bike was not very nice from the rear. New design based on that feedback. ”

Update 2: The event begins MD CEO, Hiroyuki Suzuki takes the stage

“We are implementing safe riding education for elementary schools and colleges as our Corporate Social responsibility. Through this activity we provide safe riding education, contributing to a safe riding environment. ”

“Yamaha has grown 42 percent over the previous year, especially in the 150 segment, which is also our focus area. Our sales have doubled from the previous year in this segment and the market share has increased from 8 to 11 percent. In july our market share was 15%. Last year we introduced the SZ to take care of the growing demand in the commuter segment. Earlier this year the SZ-series bike got six awards from prestigious auto media. I thank the media for that. The SZ is enjoying good sales. In addition our popular model series FZ also got a change in April.
Today we are announcing the full model change of our flagship model R15. ”
“We are also strengthening our dealer network across the country to make it easy for the potential cusomers to buy our products and get their after sales service requirements taken care of.”

    First my applauses to Tata to have such beautiful car given to world from our India.

    In my viewpoint, Tata pixel's design is loosely similar to Kia's POP 2010 car…
