Yamaha India registers 19% domestic sales growth in February 2013

Yamaha Motor India Pvt. Ltd., the Indian subsidiary of Japanese bike maker Yamaha, registered a 19% growth in domestic sales during February 2013 as compared to the corresponding period last year. The bike maker maintains an upward trend in sales with a popular line up of bikes which includes the recently launched Ray. The new scooter has received stupendous response from the market.

The company sold 32,097 units in February 2013 as against 27,050 units sold in February last year in the domestic markets thereby registering a domestic sales growth of 19%. In the Export markets the company sold 15,393 units in February 2013 as compared to 13,605 units in the same month last year achieving a growth of 13%. The overall sales stood at 47,490 units in February 2013 while 40,655 units were sold in February 2012, thereby registering a 17% overall growth.
