Y.K. Koo takes over from B.S.Seo as Hyundai Motor India’s new managing director

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) announced the top level management changes recently. Y.K. Koo will take charge from B.S. Seo as the Managing Director of Hyundai Motor India. B.S. Seo is set to return to the Hyundai Motor Company Head Quarters, Seoul after his term of more than five years in India. Koo is back to India for his third tenure as he had served in the country earlier.

In other changes, relieving Y. J. Ahn, Mr. B.S. Jeong will assume the charge of Executive Director Sales & Marketing. Mr. Y. J. Ahn will henceforth lead the Corporate Affairs team of HMIL, replacing Mr. Y.K. Lee, who will to return to Korea. All these changes are effective from 8th Nov 2015.

HMIL forms a critical part of Hyundai Motor Company’s global export hub. It currently exports to around 85 countries. Recently, HMIL achieved its highest-ever domestic sales of 47,015 units and exports of 14,777 units with cumulative sales of 61,792 units for the month of October 2015. While the domestic sales have increased by 23.7 per cent. The company’s recently launched Creta and the new generation Elite i20 have received an excellent response from buyers.
