Mahindra Scorpio Stinger

Would you do this to your Mahindra Scorpio?

In case you’re up for it, Mahindra Customisation will happily do it for you. A face-lifted Scorpio based pick-up is still some time away, and the Getaway might come across as a wee bit agricultural if you’re used to driving the Scorpio. So you have to settle for this. It’s called the Scorpio Xtreme in the official brochures, and its essentially a Scorpio converted into some sort of dual cab pick-up without changing the wheelbase or the length.

You can accessorise it with stuff like custom-built side scoops, a rear roll over bar, custom alloy wheels wrapped with off-road tires, body graphics, a jerry can, cycle racks and even a sunroof. But it looks like this particular example went easy on the optional accessories, and chose to wear a clean, factory finished look. Its just got a secured cargo bay with a removable lid. This clean looking example proves that the Scorpio Xtreme looks neat, as long as you don’t over-accessorise it.

The interiors can even be customised to your tastes, with options such as colour coded interiors, leather upholstery, custom floor mats, mood lighting, a Heads Up Display (HUD), a upgraded music system and rear seat entertainment offered. As for mechanical upgrades, we believe there are none. That means that this modified example continues to soldier on with the 2.2-litre diesel engine with 120 bhp on tap, sent to either the rear wheels or all four of them.
