Modified Pulsar Ducati

When you have a Pulsar but Ducati Panigale is life

Modified-Yamaha-Ducati

EDIT: The owner of the modified Ducati Panigale, Criss Catacutan from Philippines, contacted Motoroids India post which we have received new details about the mod-job. Contrary to our earlier reports, this mod-job was based on the 150cc Yamaha SZ-R motorcycle – which Criss fondly calls as “Dora” – and took a total of four months of hardwork to finish the process. The mod-job costs 35,000 Philippine Pesos which roughly translates to about $780 US Dollars. Sadly though Criss is yet to begin international shipments and is currently catering to local market. Criss was kind enough to share some more images from the mod-job with us – which, by the way, has witnessed some more additions.

Ducati may still be away from the reach for many aficionados but not for the owner of this Bajaj Pulsar 135LS Yamaha SZ-R. We receive dozens of mod-jobs every month but this specific one caught our attention and we have a mixed bag of emotions about it. While we really appreciate the amount of effort put behind this mod-job, the skinny bodywork — especially the tires — cripple the Italian marque’s exquisite artwork.

The entire bodywork gets a makeover, literally. The folks have replaced all the body parts. Criss and team have also replaced the swingarm and installed an underbelly exhaust to replicate the Italian design. The two-sided conventional rear suspensions have been replaced by a monoshock unit while the front continues to use the conventional telescopic unit. The front receives a four-pod headlight while the blinkers have been integrated into the fairing.

The folks have done a decent job but we would have liked if this job was done on a KTM RC390. Not that we do not like the KTM in stock form but this bodywork, with KTM’s hardware would have been a good combination — and may also have fooled a layman as a entry-level Ducati motorcycle. Don’y you agree?
