Vroom, a national drag race was held for two days at the Jakkur Airstrip in Bangalore, okay, Bengaluru city on October 15 and 16. Vroom, according to the organizers, is a platform for adrenaline junkies across the nation to showcase their machines and their talent in their run against time on a quarter mile. A few of the vehicles that were lined up for the event included a Lamborghini Gallardo, Nissan 350Z, Mitsubishi Evo, Audi TT, etc. In the super-bike category, models from makers like Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW and Yamaha set the drag strip ablaze. Numerous modified vehicles were also on display at the event. Over 500 Participants and about 5000 spectators from across the country entered this Federation Approved Motorsports event.
Drag racing is stated to be unique among motorsports fans because it gives the audience direct access to the participating teams, and allows them to watch closely as the highly skilled mechanics “twirl the iron”. Modified Indian cars, Indian bikes to supercars and superbikes, all gunned to set the best quarter mile timing.
Speaking on the association, Venkatakrishnaiyya P, Business Head, Vista said, “We partnered with Vroom to showcase the quality of Vista products and launch our new, specialty variants. We gave demonstrations of the use of products and 180 participants were given Vista gift hampers. This was a perfect platform for us to connect with auto-enthusiasts and auto-lovers alike. Vroom is a launch platform where we launched new Vista products such as Helmet Kleen, Tyre Foam and Interior Foam. The All New Vista package was also unveiled here. With all the buzz and electrifying atmosphere, this event undoubtedly promised an unforgettable weekend this time.”
