A couple of weeks ago, MV Agusta teased us with a photo of an old-school wire wheel, from European specialists Kineo, and the company’s signature three-port exhaust. This, coupled with the news that the Italian marque has trademarked the name “Turismo Leggero”, led us to believe that this could be a spoked version of MV Agusta’s Turismo Veloce tourer that was unveiled at EICMA last year.
We couldn’t be more wrong.
MV Agusta has just released a teaser video on its official YouTube page giving us just a little bit more information on this forthcoming 2015 model. What’s for certain is that the model’s name ends in “ter” and it is an RR-spec motorcycle. The entire video is filled with more drag racers, of the four-wheeled American variety, than you’d expect from a motorcycle teaser, which leads us to all but one conclusion.
Expect a ‘RR’ version of the MV Agusta Dragster with wire wheels next year. As with most Italian exotics, the MV Agusta Dragster RR will come with top-end Marzocchi suspension up front, and lots of anodized aluminium parts in red. The handlebars are clip-ons on high risers and ABS is present, either as an optional accessory or standard equipment.
