A week away from its launch, there are rumors floating around which suggest that the KTM RC 390 will max out beyond the double ton mark. The faired version of the Duke 390 will not boast of any major mechanical changes in comparison to its naked brother. However, coupled with the fairing, a slightly sportier seating arrangement and perhaps taller gearing the RC 390 should boast of a better top end.
Now, a guy who was at the international launch event for the bike has posted a video on Youtube, where he managed to clock 179 kph on the speedo. In the description field he mentions that the ignition cuts off at that speed, which perhaps is the rev limiter at work. It could be the case, as the video shows the bike is on full chat in 6th gear and the rpm counter seems to be nudging the 10k mark.
