VIDEO: Bajaj V gets its first official TVC

Bajaj Auto has released the first ever television commercial of their latest 150cc premium commuter bike- the Bajaj V. The automaker claims to have infused the metal of the India’s first aircraft carrier – INS Vikrant into the new bike. Last week, Leo Burnett (American globally active advertising company) and Bajaj Auto unveiled ‘Sons of Vikrant’, a documentary that conveys stories shared by the war veterans, who served aboard the INS Vikrant.

Bajaj has been leaving no stone unturned in order to promote their new bike as well as to garner a new fan following for it. Recently the bike had its first reported celebrity customer. Bajaj Auto’s Managing Director Rajiv Bajaj, personally handed over the customised Bajaj V to Aamir Khan. Speaking about the new television commercial, it starts with the tear down of INS Vikrant and then the making and testing of the all-new Bajaj V.

It shows the making of the fuel tank and then the bike undergoes a series of test in a heat chamber, through water cannons and a wind tunnel. A rider then takes the bike for a ride through puddles and hills in order to make a point of its build and performance. The commuter holds the INS Vikrant insignia on the fuel tank cap.

The Bajaj V is powered by a Single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 2 valve, Air cooled, DTS-i engine. The 149.5cc unit can make a power of 12PS at 7,500 rpm and a peak torque of 13 Nm at 5,500 rpm. The bike is priced at INR 62,803 (Ex-showroom Maharashtra) and is available in two colour schemes – Pearl White and Ebony Black. Deliveries of the new V started from 23 March 2016.
