In a conversation with Motoroids here in Pune today, Mr Pankaj Dubey, Polaris India’s Managing Director, has confirmed that his company has no plans of bringing the Victory Motorcycles to us anytime soon. While he refused from completely ruling out the possibility of Victory Motorcycles India launch, he did stress on the fact that his company is currently focused on promoting Indian Motorcycles in the country. Indian Motorcycles were launched in India earlier this year and have a starting price of INR 26.5 Lakhs. The company is about to open the first Indian motorcycles dealership in India, which will be located in Sector 34, Gurgaon. CLICK HERE for our Indian Motorcycles India launch coverage.

It may be noted that more than a year ago, many reports surfaced that talked about Polaris India having decided to launch the Victory motorcycles in the country. However, on being asked about Victory Motorcycles India launch, Mr. Dubey has revealed that while the company was almost decided about bringing these iconic motorcycles to the country, the tremendous response that Indian Motorcycles garnered from prospective bike buyers compelled it to give Indian Motorcycles a preference over Victory Motorcycles.

With this, it is now for sure that the Victory Vision Tour, the model that was speculated to be India bound, won’t be launched here anytime soon. Powering the Victory Vision Tour is a 1,731cc V-Twin engines that comes mated to a six speed transmission. The V-Twin motor boasts of features like self adjusting cam chains, hydraulic lifters, electronic fuel injection and an SOHC/4 valves per cylinder layout. Victory motorcycles sport a carbon fiber reinforced belt drive that transmits all the power to the rear wheel.
