Suzuki Motorcycles has launched a new special edition of the Hayabusa in US markets. Dubbed as the Hayabusa 50th Anniversary Edition, the latest model commemorates the bike maker’s 50th anniversary of sales in the American market.
The new Suzuki Hayabusa 50th Anniversary Edition comes in a bespoke Candy Daring Red with Glass Sparkle Black two tone paint job and the motorcycle maker is so serious about the new paint scheme that even the wheels get red pin-stripping at circumference.
Mechanically, the Hayabusa 50th Anniversary Edition remains unchanged and continues to be powered by a 1,340cc, four-stroke, four-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The engine has a max power of 173 hp and peak torque of 141 Nm.
As must be obvious to you, the latest special edition ‘busa is an ‘exclusive for America’ model and Suzuki Motorcycles has no plans of launching it anywhere else in the world. This means that the new special edition Hayabusa will give Indian bike market a skip. The regular ‘Busa though, is officially available in India and is on sale for a price of INR 15.95 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi). Also available to buyers is a different limited edition model of the ‘busa, which comes with a yellow paint scheme, for a price of INR 16.45 lakhs (ex-Showroom, New Delhi).
