The car comes equipped with a 1 litre. 3 cylinder petrol engine engine that has a decent power output of 67 Bhp and a peak torque of 90Nm. The Wagon R is on sale in India in 3 fuel options- Petrol only, Petrol+LPG and Petrol+CNG options.
Talking about the discounts available, the buyers of Wagon R get a cash discount of INR 36,000, an exchange bonus of INR 20,000 and corporate discount of INR 6000. This means that in total, the buyers get a discount of INR 62,000.
We aren’t too surprised to see Maruti Suzuki, the nation’s highest selling car maker, offering huge discounts on one its most successful cars ever. It may be noted that the Indian car market is currently going through a really sluggish phase and sales of almost every model from every car manufacturer has taken a hit. It is hence only obvious for car makers to come up with attractive discount offers like these. While it would be interesting to see if the car makers would be successful in luring the potential car buyers, it really seems to be a good time to go car shopping.
