As per a pamphlet being circulated with various newspapers in Pune, a Maruti dealer is offering heavy discounts on even the special edition models. The details are as following:
- Maruti Dzire Regal Edition: Rs 35,000
- Maruti Swift RS: Rs 40,000
- Maruti Ertiga Feliz: Rs 38,000
These discounts include cash benefits, exchange bonus, Corporate/Government employee bonus et al. While the discount on Ertiga, the production of which has now been discontinued, comes across as nothing surprising, the fact that MSIL dealers are offering heavy discounts on popular models such as the Swift and Dzire goes on to say how desperate car makers currently are to improve their sales figures.
All this means that an average car buyer, in current scenario, is bound to heavily benefit from the slowdown in car sales.
