Wildlings in India, even the ones who mostly remain confined to urban spaces were quick to plonk their money on the Mahindra Thar. Although, many were sold solely on the external butch appearance that added a touch of ‘macho’ to their personality, the moment they stepped inside, they were transported back to the rudimentary 80’s. As a result, Mahindra is about to change all that, and the updated 2015 Mahindra Thar will sport better interiors with an all new dashboard and a new center console.
The updated Thar’s CRDe version will most likely get a soft touch dashboard, modern bits for temperature control and an updated infotainment system. According to the report, the new 2015 Mahindra Thar will also come with a new center console that will incorporate the gearshift lever, the four-wheel-drive lever and the handbrake along with a cup holder. The new Thar could also get better, more comfortable seats at the front and rear, while on the outside, expect the wheel arches to grow slightly wider, better looking tail lamps and minor changes to some cosmetic bits. However, expect the classic, age proof styling to remain unchanged.
