We reported in detail when some pics of the India-bound upcoming Harley Davidson 500cc motorcycle first surfaced on the cyber space. Now, what we have here today is yet another spy pic of the eagerly awaited cruiser.

The upcoming bike is bound to cater to emerging bike markets like that of India. This 500cc Harley would be produced at the American bike maker’s manufacturing facility at Bawal, Haryana. It may be noted that this facility is the second mother plant from Harley, the first being at Milwaukee, USA. Currently, the Haryana based plant is being used for assembly of CKD Harley models that are being sold in India.

It is being expected that the Harley Davidson 500cc motorcycle would be priced between INR 3 lakhs to 4 lakh and would make life a lot more easier for those wishing to upgrade from their trusted Royal Enfields. Powering this bike would be a 500cc V-Twin engine that is likely to feature high-end technologies and best-in-class power output. Safely expect the bike to get a disc brake setup at both front and rear wheel, contemporary instrumentation and a lot of bells and whistles. Also expect Harley branded genuine leather luggage to be offered as an optional extra.

We won’t be too surprised to see this bike being showcased at the upcoming 2014 Indian Auto Expo, which would provide the bike maker with enough exposure and help it with brand building.

  1. RE better get a V-Twin.
Current bullets are all fart, no shit.

    Get some grunt.

PS. no need for any negative responses, I ride bullet to work every day. And let me tell you, IT IS SLUGGISH.

  2. Is this going to be the proverbial last nail in the RE coffin?
If HD can price it around 3 lacs then I don’t see why people will go for RE anymore. Bring it on HD and quickly!
