At a recent dealer meeting of the Piaggio group, along with the revealing of what seemed to be the production-ready version of the Moto Guzzi California 1400, the manufacturer revealed the Aprilia Caponord. The bike should rub shoulders with the Ducati Multistrada.
The Caponord seems to be highly based on the Dorsoduro 1200. While the Caponord surely has a very different bodywork but the chassis and the 130bhp engine seems to be carried over the Dorsoduro.
The manufacturer has tried giving the bike a family look by taking little design cues from the RSV4. These cues have trickled down to RS4 125, RS4 50, SRV850 and, soon, the Caponord will be seen sporting RSV inspired clothes on the road.
