UNVEILED: 2012 Mustang from Ford Racing

Mustang has always been the most favourite of the current crop of retro-styled muscle cars. Here is a little sneak peak at the latest Mustang project which is underway at Ford Racing. The car sports the trademark V8 motor with lot of stuff coming from Ford Racing Performance Parts (FRPP) catalogue, the most important of these being the twin-screw Whipple supercharger. The motor is mated to a six-speed manual transmission and the car sports an 8.8-inch axle. The latest Mustang from Ford Racing rides an inch closer to ground than the standard car. Talking about the suspension, this Mustang has new FRPP spring and 14-inch, four-piston Brembo discs with Laguna Seca brake duct kit do the duty of stopping this beast. As expected, this Mustang is loud with the rorty exhaust note which is courtesy Mustang GT Side Exhaust System. This ‘Stang rides on 19 inch rims shod with Pirelli PZero  255/40/ZR19 spec rubber. This is not all as the list also includes the Laguna Seca Adjustable Front Splitter.

This car should be good for about 600-650 hp and should be able to eat some of the so called Jap sportscars, alive! We just wish that the car came in a better shade of colour.
