Triumph owners celebrate 68th Independence day across the country

Triumph Riders - Independence Day Ride

Celebrating 68 years of freedom, motorcycle enthusiasts across India took their machines out for a spin. We at Motoroids were out there too (Click here to know how we celebrated Independence). As we were carving out our way through traffic, we spotted numerous free revving species on their two-wheeled machines, with the Tri-colour attached, buzzing past us. Some of them we noticed were iconic British machines, carrying the Indian Flag with pride. It was Triumph Motorcycles India’s way to pay tribute to the nation on its 68th Independence Day. They organized a  ride of over 150 Triumph-ant customers across Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad & Pune. The aim of this ride was to commemorate and celebrate the spirit of freedom as well as brotherhood among fellow citizens on this historic day.

The ride was flagged off across 8 dealerships and the RAT’s (Riders association of Triumph) rode across their respective city, stopping at important cultural sites such as Bangalore Palace in Bengaluru, Char Minar in Hyderabad and Shaniwar Wada in Pune. The flurry of riders on their Triumph’s raising the flags and riding in harmony on this special occasion made for a pleasant sight.

Mr. Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. said, “15th August is the most defining day in the entire history of India! A true Indian is moved by the nationalist fervor that grips the country and loves to join in the celebration. We at Triumph Motorcycles also wanted to celebrate this day and pay our tributes to the gallant freedom fighters. And we saw no better way to express our feelings but to do what we like doing the best, and that is to ride! It was great to see the enthusiasm from our customers and dealers who have effectively made this ride a success. We are proud to say that we rode on a Triumph and we rode on Independence Day! ”
