Triumph Motorcycles had a great run in the 600cc category of the 2015 JK Tyre Racing Championship as the British marquee successfully grabbed the top three spots in the Grand Finale. On basis the points carried forward from the previous races, this year’s JK Tyre Racing Championship for the 600cc was won by Vijay Singh with Gurvinder Singh coming second and Archit Kumar third.
The JK Tyre Racing Championship (JKTRC) is one of India’s premier racing Championship for the drivers aiming at Formula Car Racing. The Championship, which was launched in 1997 by JK Tyre & Industries, has now become the revered launch pad for the budding motorsport talents in the country. Expressing his views on the championship, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director of Triumph Motorcycles India said that the quick and agile Triumph Daytona won big at the October races organized by JK Tyre and the Finale has been nothing short of a befitting finish to the thrill.
In case you are curious to know about the mechanicals on this Triumph, the Daytona is powered by a 675cc in-line three-cylinder liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Both front and rear KYB suspension are fully adjustable and come with low- and high-speed compression damping adjustment. The 675cc supersport gets lighter wheels that make it easier to turn in at corners. Other features include Brembo brakes and quick shifter.
