Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese auto giant, sold 12,756 cars in February 2013. TKM registered a 23% decline in sales as compared to sales in corresponding month of 2012 (16,659 units).
The company exported 1,223 units of Etios series to South Africa in February 2013. The total sales registered were 13,979 units including exports.
Commenting on the sales in Feb 2013, Mr. Sandeep Singh, Deputy Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer, Marketing and Commercial said “The market continues to remain sluggish and the with the additional excise duty levied on SUV and UV, the market will be further impacted ”.
