To say that the Innova is arguably the most successful car to have ever come from Toyota Kirloskar Motor won’t be too much of an overstatement. With over 400,000 copies sold since its launch in 2005, the Innova can safely be heralded as the undisputed leader of MPV segment of Indian car market. Now, in order to celebrate the sales milestone, Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched a ‘chrome kit’ for the Innova. The optional extra can be added to the MPV at dealerships for INR 31000.

The new chrome kit can be added to the GX variant, with parts of it also compatible with the VX variant. The chrome kit is targeted at the chrome-hungry segment of Indian car buying lot.

The Innova Chrome Edition comes with dallops of chrome for the front grille, chrome highlights on wheel arches, door handles and chrome bumper protectors. More chrome can be found on the hatch lid, muffler cutter, ORVMs and around indicator.

Mechanically, the Innova remains unchanged and is on sale with two engine options- a 2.5 liter D-4D turbo diesel engine with max power of 102 PS and a peak torque of 200 Nm abd a 2 liter petrol engine with 132 PS of max power and 181 Nm of max torque. Both the motors come mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox.
