Tata Zica Dashboard and Instrument Cluster revealed in new video

Tata Zica Dashboard

A new video by Tata Motors shows the Tata Zica’s interior for the first time, notably the dashboard and the instrument cluster. The dashboard, which has already been revealed in spy images, features a dual tone layout, with the upper half layered with black, soft touch plastics, while the lower half sports an off-white coloration.

The trapezoidal center console hosts a pair of chrome bordered HVAC vents and the ConnectNext infotainment system courtesy Harman. Below the audio related paraphernalia lies a button bank for the driving modes (City and Eco) and front/rear fog lamps.

While the center console headpiece is trimmed with a piano black insert here, Tata is most likely to offer a small range of color and trim options for the Zica’s interiors. The lower half of the center console hosts a large storage bin, which is topped off with the HVAC controls.

The instrument cluster is a twin pod affair, with clear, legible dials bearing all the tell-tale lights. Between the pods lie a Bolt/Zest-style TFT display which throws up instant fuel economy readings, a gear position indicator and trip/odometer readings. The three-spoke, multifunction steering wheel is a familiar sight.

Power for the Tata Zica hatchback and compact sedan will come from two new engines – an oddly displaced 1.05-litre, three-cylinder diesel unit, and a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder petrol unit. Prices of the Tata Zica hatchback are rumored to start from INR 3.6 lakh for the basic petrol variant. Reports suggest that post its December unveiling, the Tata Zica hatchback will be launched in January 2016, with a compact sedan following closely thereafter.
