Indian passenger and commercial vehicles maker Tata Motors has launched the new Tata Vista D90 hatchback in Nepal.
At the heart of the new Vista D90 is a 1.3 litre Quadrajet diesel engine which benefits from a Variable Geometry Turbocharger. Speaking at the launch, Mr. Gurinder Singh, Country Manager, Nepal and Bhutan, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors, said, ” The Vista D90 is all together a new car which is power-packed, has first-in-class technologies and sportier looks for thrill-seeking car buyers. We already have enquires for the Vista D90 and we hope that customer like our latest offering in the market.”
The Tata Vista D90’s 1.3 litre diesel engine has 90 PS of max power and 200NM of peak torque. The car has a claimed fuel economy figure of 21.12 kmpl. Mated to the motor is a Euro-tech 2 gearbox which offers smooth gearshifts and helps in propelling the car to 100kmph from standstill in 15.5 seconds. The car has a top whack of 158 kmph.
The car comes equipped with a touchscreen multimedia system that consists of a multi-colour TFT interface and an in-built GPS system, all of which combines the entertainment, navigation and communication systems. The interface is also connected to a DVD player and Blue5 technology that allows you to pair upto 5 mobile phones. Other high end features include an Automatic Climate Control, Advanced Driver Information System and Fuel Computer. The car also has a 2-way adjustable 4-spoke steering wheel, 6-way height adjustable driver seat with lumbar support, intelligent rear wiper, electrically adjusted ORVMs, all 4 power windows, rear charging point and follow-me- home headlamps.
The Tata Vista D90 boasts of spacious dual tone interiors that come finished in Ebony Black and Sahara Beige.
Talking about the safety and security features, the D90 comes with dual front SRS airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), crumple zones, side intrusion beams, engine immobilizer, central locking and keyless entry.
The new Tata Vista D90 goes on sale in Nepal with five colour options – Ultra Violet, Porcelain White, Spice Red, Cavern Grey and Jet Silver. The Tata Vista D90 ZX PLUS (top-end) is priced at NPR 26,95,000. It comes with a warranty of 2 Years/ 75000 kms, amongst the best in industry.
