Tata Ultra LCV caught testing

Recently, the good folks at goaonwheels caught a Tata LCV being tested in Goa. Sources say that this new LCV sports a DICOR engine and will be BS4 complaint. This simply means that Tata Motors is looking to introduce the new vehicle to metros as well.

Tata’s new Ultra LCV & ICV  range will be offered with two engine options: a 3litre 16 valve 138HP common rail diesel engine and a 5L DiCOR 16-valve 158.On the interiors front, the new LCV gets a car like dashboard with a dash-mounted cable shift gear and hydraulic cabin tilt mechanism.Integral headrest, an ergonomic power steering with tilt adjust, intelligent instrument cluster that boasts of a display for live and trip mileage, clutch and brake wear indicator, seat and door ajar warning light, water-in-fuel indicator and economy assistance  should make life easier for the driver.

High strength Domex 650 steel rolled chassis frame, radial tyres, parabolic leaf springs, tuned shock absorbers and disc brakes work towards making the Ultra a thoroughly modern LCV.
