Tata sells 6401 units of Nano in November

Tata Nano recently put on a good show on it’s sales chart. Nano sold just 509 units in November 2010. This year, the car sees a more than 6 times the growth as it reported sales of 6,401 units in November 2011. The Nano has seen fluctuating sales since its launch but is gradually getting closer to the sales target Tata Motors has set (10,000 units/month).

Tata Nano posts healthy sales figures in November

So far, the compact has met the 10K mark just once and it was expected that the car would continue to meet the target. However, June and July saw the Nano get a cold response as the car could manage to sell merely a few 1,000 units.

Tata recently launched the 2012 version of it’s compact and now hopes to see the sales post a healthy growth but Nano should brace itself up as it is likely to lock horns with Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming 600 odd cc car.

We also talked about Tata launching the diesel Nano and the oil burner version of the Nano will be showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo. We expect the car to be launched in March 2012.

Our recent story on the Nano

It will be interesting to see if Tata Nano can dethrone the Maruti Suzuki’s offering from the top of the sales chart.
