Tata Motors busy working on Manza CS

Motoroids was the first one to report about the rumors pouring in that Tata is busy shortening the boot of the Manza sedan. Now, it has emerged that all the rumors about the Tata Manza Compact Sedan are actually more than just being baseless speculations and have a fair chance of being a truth in near future.

The new car will have the same engines as the current Vista / Manza. However, from what our sources tell us, the new car is going to look different from the current Manza, from the front. According to our sources, Tata is planning to tweak the front end of the car and give it a slightly different face. unlike the current Vista / Manza, the Manza CS will have the headlights merging into the grille. The gap between the grille and the headlamps, on the current Vista / Manza models will be eliminated.

There is a price difference of about INR 1.5 lakhs between the Manza diesel and Indigo CS and this allows Tata to park one more product in its entry level sedan model  line up. As expected, and keeping in line with the elder sister Indigo CS, the Manza CS will be shortened than 4 metres in length to make use of the excise duty benefits provided by the govt. This benefit enables the manufacturer to price the car ultra aggressively and ultimately, it is the car buyer that benefits. The Manza CS should debut next year and should lock horns with the very DZirable Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire. Watch out for this space for more info on this.
