It has emerged that Subaru plans to launch the WRX RS40 in Australia.
The WRX RS 40 has been designed to celebrate the manufacturer’s 40th anniversary in Australia.
The WRX RS 40 comes draped in WR blue rides on 17-inch alloy wheels which are finished in gold. The car also gets new badges, a strut tower brace and STI front and rear spoiler.
On the inside, the car comes with an individually-numbered plaque, a short-throw shifter and Recaro sport seats with blue Alcantara inserts.
Powering the WRX RS 40 is the same 2.5-liter turbocharged boxer engine that powers the standard car. This motor has a max power od 265 HPand peak torque of 343 Nm (252 lb-ft) of torque.
Only 300 units of the Subaru WRX RS 40 will be produced and prices should start at 44,490 AUD.
