News » Updated: Scoop! 2011 Maruti Suzuki Alto facelift; powered by the K-Series engine!
Update:
'Overdrive magazine' has laid their hands on a leaked brochure image of the 2011 Maruti Suzuki Alto. While we showed you a shot of the tail gate early today morning, from the spy pic clicked by the blokes at CarWale, this image shows the front end of the car. It seems Maruti Suzuki is adding a hint of aggression to all its facelift models the Zen Estilo and Wagon R being the prime examples. No wonder then that the Alto too gets aggressive new headlights, a larger engine bay for the bigger engine and some tweaks to the radiator grille (horizontally slotted design and upper chrome lining.)
Thanks for the tip Gyan.

Here's what we reported earlier:
Our friends at the automotive portal called Carwale have posted a spy picture of what looks like a newly designed Maruti Suzuki Alto. The new Alto will be powered by Maruti's latest K Series engine which powers the A-Star, Estilo and the Wagon R. The 1 litre K Series Alto is scheduled to be launched by the next month.
The Alto will now be taller and will feature wider tyres. In addition to this, the car will sport newly designed tail lamps and a hatch mounted number plate. Not much can be commented on the front-end of the car. The K10B engine that will make its way under the hood of the new Alto will churn out 66 bhp of power and 90 Nm of torque. With a price tag of about Rs 3-3.5 lakh, the car may have the ability to deliver an ARAI certified fuel efficiency figure of 20 kmpl. So Let's Go! In the New Alto!
