We reported in detail when it emerged that the now defunct ‘not so popular’ Maybach ultra luxury saloon, which used to be a Rolls Royce Ghost adversary, would be succeeded by the upcoming Pullman variant of the new 2014 S Class.

The Mercedes S Class Pullman Hybrid will have a 30 cms longer wheelbase than the long wheelbase variant and will come with additional equipment.

What we have here with us today is a set of spy pics of the upcoming Mercedes S Class Pullman (Codename X222). The upcoming Rolls Royce Ghost adversary would have a 30-35cm longer wheelbase than the long wheelbase model. This make the Pullman as much as 43-48 cms longer than the standard variant.

Quite obviously, all the additional space would translate into more rear legspace and the same has been confirmed by the latest spy pics, which show the upcoming car’s longer rear door and the larger quarter window.

It has also emerged that the car will get a hybrid variant. This has been confirmed by a sticker on the test mule’s dashboard.

The Mercedes S Class Pullman is expected to make its public debut at the 2014 Auto Beijing, which would happen in April next year.
