SPIED: Tata Indica facelift with 90 hp 1.3 Multijet VGT. Time for cabbies to rejoice

Frankly, we have lost count of the number of facelifts India’s popular cab Tata Indica has received. A safe guess would be to say that we have Tata Indica V2.04 on sale these days. Not to mention the gazillion body styles the car came/comes with. Recently, the nice chaps at IBC caught an upcoming (& diesel) version of the car being tested. As usual, the trickledown effect is in works here and the car gets the front fascia from the Indigo. The thing that really interests us here are the ‘90’ badges on abundance on the hatchback. We wonder if Tata is preparing to gift the cab drivers with a refreshed Indica equipped with a 90 bhp 1.3 VGT Multijet.

  1. Tata's strength has been its diesel engines.. And Indica has always been an all Tata product. I bet this will be the new generation All Tata CR4 engine being readied for the BS5 emission norms.
