SPIED: Next gen Hyundai Santa Fe caught testing in Scandinavia

We have always maintained that the current Hyundai Santa Fe is a very neat and matured looking car. But the vehicle has not really clicked in our market. More than that, Hyundai is busy giving a ‘fludic’ architecture to all its new models and seems like it is time to say hello to an all new generation of Santa Fe SUV. Recently, the good folks at worldcarfans.com managed to take some quick shots of the new gen Santa Fe being tested at the Article Circle in Scandinavia.

It may be noted that the car was heavily camouflaging but the geniuses at World Car Fans say that they managed to decipher the front fasçia of the new car. They say that the car sports a new three-dimensional front grille with three horizontal chrome bars dividing it. The Headlight units have a striking resemblance to the new Hyundai Verna and so do the smart looking mags.

There are enough rumors that a 274 BHP 2.0 gasoline motor that churns out a torque of 269 lb/ft of torque will be found beneath the hood of the Fluidic Santa Fe. But, going by the ‘lethal petrol prices’, this engine won’t make much sense to us and we expect the same 2.4 litre common rail diesel unit to soldier on in India

The Fluidic Santa Fe could should make its world debut at the Frankfurt Motor show in March,2012 and we expect the new Santa Fe to come to India by the end of this year. Stay tuned folks!
