Snoopy and Charlie Brown’s new ride is the Mercedes V-Class

Charlie Brown’s pet beagle, Snoopy has taken the wheel of the Mercedes V-Class for  the 360-degree marketing campaign of their ‘The Peanuts Movie’ in Europe. Mercedes-Benz Vans is taking on the co-promotion of the movie and has elaborately produced a V-Class commercial ‘Join Snoopy’s biggest ride’. In the commercial, Snoopy, Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang embark on a journey in their V-Class.

The Mercedes-Benz Vans product spectrum includes vans, MPVs and camper vans for private and commercial use. These include the Sprinter, Vito, Citan and V-Class models. The campaign features the sporty V-Class. Rolled out in three versions of the same OM651 2.1-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, the entry-level V200 CDI makes 134 horsepower and 329 Nm of torque, and is capable of 0 to 100 kmph in 12.8 seconds and reaching a top speed of 180 kmph. The mid-level V220 CDI boasts 161 hp and 379 Nm of torque, as well as a 0–100 time of 10.8 seconds and a 195 kmph top speed. The top-trim V250 BlueTec produces 187 hp and 480 Nm of torque, reaches 100 in 9.1 seconds, and tops out at 205 kmph. That bluetec trim is paired exclusively with a seven-speed automatic, while the other two come mated with a six-speed manual.

Mercedes Benz V Class (4)

Unlike other MPVs of its class, the V-class is relatively large, and it looks even bigger. The V is all about space utilization rather than stylistic gimmicks that adorn most minivans. But when fitted with the big aluminum wheels and the optional full-LED headlights, the segment’s first, it manages an upscale stylish appearance.

Nicolai Berger, Head of Marketing Communication and Product Information Mercedes-Benz Vans said, “We are delighted to accompany the new Peanuts movie with our V-Class. We believe the V-Class perfectly matches this entertaining film for young and old alike. Especially families value the high level of safety as well as the comfortable spaciousness combined with dynamic design.
