Sameer Kumar, one of the better known and most seasoned auto journalists in India has been appointed head of press communications for Volkswagen Cars in India. Before joining Volkswagen, he has also worked with Buddh International Circuit, where he was the National Press Officer for the inaugural Formula 1 Grand Prix of India.
Also known as MadMax during his journalism days, Sameer has always been known for his flamboyant writing style and passion towards all things automotive. Sameer has worked with renowned publications such as Business Standard Motoring, and later with Car India and Bike India magazines in the capacity of executive editor and contributed a great deal in taking those publications to new heights.
I had the pleasure of working under his guidance and supervision during my early days at Car India and Bike India magazines, and learned a great deal under his aegis. It’s therefore a matter of great pleasure and joy for me to see him assume such an important office.
Sameer has also been running a superbike specific blog with the name FasterandFaster.net which is one of the best known blogs for information related to international bikes.
