We reported in detail when the 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 Café Racer was launched in UK recently. We also reported when it emerged that the bike could be launched in India this month. Now, days before its launch, a Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 aka Cafe Racer has been spotted in Bangalore by Motoroids reader Nikhil Tibrewal.

The eagerly awaited Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 aka Cafe Racer is the fastest production motorcycle ever from Royal Enfield. The Cafe Racer is also the lightest production Royal Enfield ever.

The new 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 is powered by a 535cc, fuel injected, single pot, air cooled motor that has peak power output of 29.1 BHP. Max torque is pegged at 44 Nm and is developed at 4000 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Suspension duties are courtesy conventional telescopic forks at front and Paioli gas-charged twin shock absorbers at rear. The latest RE rides on 18 inch spoke wheels, shod with Pirelli Sport Demon tyres.

Stopping power comes from a 300mm floating Brembo disc brake setup up front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear.

It is expected that the 2014 Royal Enfield Continental GT 535 aka Cafe Racer would go on sale in India with a sticker price of INR 2 lakhs.

  1. I’m simply not convinced either the build or manufacturing quality justifies the price, despite it being a very nice looking bike.

  2. Guyz..Its an Offcial Test ride frm RE..They need to cover 50K kms to get the vehicle attested to launch .. May release early by 2014.. Keep waitng 🙂 Me too in the Q 😉
