Rossi’s and Stoner’s Ducati on Sale!

This news has excited me to no end. And, my bank account has played a perfect spoilsport, yet again. Recently, popular bike manufacturer and Moto GP contender Ducati has announced Valentino Rossi’s GP11 ‘VR2’ and Stoner’s GP10 ‘CS1’ will be soon up for sale. These bikes be auctioned at the RM Auctions’ 2012 Monaco sale at the Grimaldi Forum. This sale will be held on 11-12 May 2012. Both these bikes are in their ‘race ready’ state and will come from Ducati Corse racing wing. ‘‘Ducati represents the pinnacle of two-wheeled desirability with a reputation for world-beating performance and unmistakable design. Casey has used this bike for a podium finish in the Australian, Qatar, Valencia, Assen and Catalunya GP. The bike has logged a total of 4,232kms. Rossi’s Desmosedici GP11 ‘VR2’ has recorder a podium finish in Qatar and Le Mans. This bike has been used for only 2,342kms. ”The release of two very special machines like these is an extremely rare occasion for us, so the lucky buyer must not only enter into a confidentiality agreement, but also become a close member of the Ducati family. The Desmosedici GP10 and GP11 were two very interesting bikes in our GP project history and therefore will represent exciting opportunities for serious collectors,’’ says Filippo Preziosi, Ducati Corse General and Technical Director.
