There are really good chances that famous Japanese performance bike-maker Kawasaki would launch the much hyped ZX-10R and the ZX-14R motorcycles in India today.
Later today, we will attend an official event from Bajaj-Kawasaki and safely expect us to report LIVE from this event to give you a clearer picture of the bike maker’s latest plans for India.
Both the bikes would be brought to us via CBU route and the ZX-10R could go on sale in India with a price tag of INR 18 lakhs. The ZX-14R is expected to breach the 20lakh mark. Only 60 numbers of the ZX10R’s would be allocated for sale in India initially and later numbers would be decided based on the market demand.
With the launch of these bikes, Bajaj would get among the elite few, who sell supersport machines in India. Â The bikes will be sold and serviced via the Probiking network.
The ZX-10R, which is considered among the very best of the litre class race machines out there, have been winning plenty of rave reviews for its laser sharp focus on handling and track readiness. With a peak power output of 197 ps @ 13000 rpm from its 998cc inline four, it surely has the figures to match its reputation. Additional features include a traction control system and an Ohlins electronic steering damper. Braking is courtesy a 310mm front petal dual discs and a 220mm single petal disc at rear.
The Zx-14R has a max power of 210Ps (with RAM air) is the fastest machine on two wheels today. The 1441cc engine easily propels the huge body of this machine to speeds that can send a shiver down the spine of even the most hardcore of bikers out there. Standard features include slipper clutch, ABS and traction control.
